Weekend in Cape Cod

Since we live in New England we have a few things we want to do while we're in this area of the country and going to Cape Cod was one of them. So a couple of weekends ago we checked that off the list!

Sam was already in Groton, CT for some training so I went down Friday afternoon to see him and hang out with some Academy/Nuke school friends and their wives/fiances. We had such a blast with them. It makes me so jealous they all live near each other and we are a good three hours away.

Saturday morning we left CT and drove all the way out to Provincetown on the tip of the Cape for a delicious lunch at The Lobster Pot and a stroll around the very "interesting" town. A very cute little town with a heavy gay influence. After an afternoon there we drove back to Hyannis where we were staying and went to The Black Cat restaurant right on the harbor and then for a sunset sail in Nantucket Sound.

Sunday we were in for a real treat and went whale watching which was absolutely amazing! (Other than forgetting our sunblock... whoops!) Then we had lunch at the Lobster Boat which was my favorite of all the places we ate and then drove back to Groton and met up with some friends for dinner. What a wonderful weekend!

College Roomie!

My college roommate, Megan, was visiting her family in NH over the 4th of July and we were able to meet up in Concord for a little shopping. I was sooo excited to see her and meet her hubby and son for the first time! Brady is the cutest little baby, such a sweetheart, and I am so impressed how fabulous Megan looks for having a 5 month old and supposedly not even working out after the baby!
It wouldn't be a roomie reunion without some mall food court Chinese!
Look at that happy baby face!
Brady looks just like a little mini-Chris!

Our Apartment

So, this is kinda late... but I thought I would post some pics of our apartment here for those of you who are interested. The apartment itself is pretty nice, it is just a little small for us (as you will notice from the pic of the extra bedroom!) and it is difficult with the dogs not having a yard and having to go out four doors to get outside. It may not seem too exciting... but I adore our kitchen! If you have ever seen our kitchen in Charleston, you would understand! I actually have enough cabinet and pantry space to keep all my kitchen stuff in the kitchen and Sam and I can both be in there without running into one another. Plus HELLO counter space!
This is actually our patio furniture but it is larger than our kitchen table and we don't have a big enough patio for it... so it is now our kitchen table. I am looking forward to living in Hawaii when we can use it outside!
So the living room is a little cramped with our massive sofa and love seat... but it works for us.
And that is only ONE wall of our "junk" room which also doubles as our gym/office. Imagine me trying to be productive on school work in all this clutter!
